The mission of the Brain Injury Association of Illinois is to create a better future through brain injury awareness, prevention, education and advocacy. The Brain Injury Association of Illinois (BIA of IL) is a not-for-profit, statewide membership organization comprised of people with brain injuries, family members, friends and professionals. BIA of Illinois is part of a network of Brain Injury Associations across the United States, and is an affiliate of the national Brain Injury Association of America, Inc. (BIAA) which was founded in 1980. The BIA of Illinois is the only membership organization in Illinois serving individuals with traumatic and acquired brain injuries, their families, professionals who treat them, and the community; and is dedicated to providing information, advocacy, and support. |
